France Consumer Confidence: March 2025
France’s consumer confidence index declined slightly in March, falling -1 pt to 92, remaining below its long-term average and coming in short of expectations of a slight rise to 94.
- The past and future personal financial situation indexes fell to -21 and -11, down -1 pt and -7 pts, respectively.
- Major purchase intentions rose slightly, gaining 2 pts to -26, but are still well below the long-term average.
- Savings intentions decreased by -2 pts to 40, after hitting a record high in February.
- Concerns over unemployment eased, with the unemployment prospects index dropping by -8 pts to 46.
- Consumer views on past inflation improved, with the past prices index falling -2 pts to -7, the lowest since July 2021.
