France Consumer Confidence: April 2025
France’s consumer confidence index remained unchanged at 92 in April, remaining below its long-term average.
- The unemployment prospects index increased 4 pts to 51.
- Major purchase intentions improved by 3 pts to -23, the highest since February 2022.
- Consumers’ negative financial situation expectations were unchanged at -11, but felt slightly worse about the future of the standard of living in France.
- Expected savings capacity and savings intentions both declined to the lowest so far in 2025.
