New light commercial vehicle (LCV) registrations in the UK fell -14.8% YoY in June 2025, marking the seventh straight monthly decline and the weakest first-half performance since 2022.

• H1 2025 LCV registrations totaled 156,048 units, down -12.1% YoY, led by declines in large vans (-14.8% YoY) and medium vans (-20.9% YoY).
• Pickup registrations rose +10.0% YoY in H1 but fell for the second consecutive month after April’s tax change on double-cab models.
• Battery electric van (BEV) registrations jumped +52.8% YoY to 13,512 units, with a +97.0% YoY surge in June alone.
• BEVs accounted for just 8.6% of the market in H1, well below the 16% government mandate for 2025.
• Small van registrations rose +30.7% YoY, while 4x4s fell -6.0% YoY.
