Japanese investors reported net buying of foreign long-term debt totaling just ¥92.0 billion in the week of May 24th, down significantly from stronger flows in the last two months.

• Total net investment in foreign equities was negative for the second week in a row at-¥524.7 billion.
• Total net foreign investment in Japanese equities and Japanese long-term debt was ¥309.3 billion and -¥334.4 billion respectively.
