Japanese investors reported net buying of foreign long-term debt totaling ¥2,824.6 billion in the week of May 17th, the highest net buying since the first week of September 2023.

• Total net investment in foreign equities was -¥226.3 billion, the first week of foreign equity selling in 9 weeks.
• Total net foreign investment in Japanese equities and Japanese long-term debt was ¥714.9 billion and -¥241.4 billion respectively.
