ADP estimates that US private employers added an average of 42,250 jobs in the four weeks to May 2nd, up from 33,000 in the four weeks to April 25th.

• The first May 2026 weekly ADP Pulse print is the highest ever reported at 42,250. This strong pace comes after a slight dip in late April and similarly strong readings in early April.
• The data clearly show a strong labor market that has diverged from the volatile readings in late 2025.
