  • Personal finances over the past 12 months dropped -3 pts to -7, though this was 2 pts better than September 2024.

  • Expectations for personal finances over the next 12 months slipped -1 pt to +4, still 7 pts stronger than a year ago.

  • The general economic situation over the past year fell -3 pts to -45, now 8 pts weaker than September 2024.

  • Forward-looking views on the economy declined -2 pts to -32, which is 5 pts lower than the same month last year.

  • The Major Purchase Index decreased -3 pts to -16, but remains 7 pts higher than September 2024.

  • The Savings Index posted the sharpest fall, down -8 pts to +22, nearly flat compared with last year (-1 pt YoY).
