The MTSI Manufacturing PMI Composite Index eased from -0.94 in May to -1.03 in June, as early reports on manufacturing conditions pointed to a slight decline over the last month.
- The New Orders index rebounded strongly in May, but has given back those gains in June.
- Employment also improved in May to near the historical average at -0.15, but a weak reading in the Philadelphia Fed survey reversed some of that gain.
- Inflationary pressures, both input and output, appear to have peaked in April and have eased in the last two months of Q2 2025.
