French industrial production fell -0.6% MoM in January, below expectations of an 0.3% MoM rise.

• Manufacturing production fell -0.7% MoM and was down -2.1% YoY.
• Energy product and machinery production were notably weak at -1.7% MoM and -1.9% MoM respectively.
• Transport equipment manufacturing only bounced back 0.8% MoM after a -5.7% YoY decline in January, now down -7.4% YoY.
