Euro area services production rose +0.2% MoM in May 2025, partially recovering from a -0.3% MoM decline in April, while annual growth accelerated to +2.1% YoY (from +0.7% in April).

• Information & communication led monthly gains at +1.2% MoM, followed by real estate (+0.4%) and admin services (+0.4%).
• Transportation & storage fell -1.1% MoM, while accommodation & food services declined -0.3% MoM.
• On a YoY basis, information & communication surged +5.6%, and real estate rose +2.1%.
• Transportation & storage was the only sector down YoY in the euro area (-0.1%).
• Greece (+12.9% YoY), Lithuania (+8.9%), and Estonia (+7.6%) posted the strongest annual gains; Romania (-11.4%) and Denmark (-10.0%) saw sharp declines.
