Euro area services production fell -0.3% MoM, the largest MoM decline since June 2024, causing annual growth to slow to just 0.7% YoY in April, down from 2.5% YoY in March.

• Accommodation & food services output increased 1.1% MoM.
• Smaller gains were seen in transport & storage (0.4% MoM) and professional activities (0.2% MoM).
• These were offset by declines in information & communication (-1.9% MoM), real estate (-0.5% MoM), and admin & support services (-0.4% MoM).
