ADP Weekly Preliminary Employment Report: Week of April 21st

ADP estimates that US private employers added an average of 54,750 jobs per week in the four weeks to April 4th, a step up from the already strong pace of 40,250 in the four weeks to March 28th.

  • The ADP Pulse preliminary weekly data point sets a new all-time high, reaching almost 55,000. This would also be a roughly 1.5 year high for the final NER weekly dataset if the pace holds up through revisions.
  • The only revision to the data was an upward revision in last week's print (week of March 28th) of +1,000 to 40,250.
