Canada’s preliminary estimate of wholesale sales in April projects a -0.9% MoM decline which would be the first decline since August 2024.

• The decline reflects lower sales in the motor vehicle and motor vehicle parts and accessories subsector.
• This estimate was calculated based on a weighted response rate of 55.0%. The average final response rate to the survey over the 12 preceding months was 82.3%.
