The AAA national average gas price fell -1.5 cents to $3.147 last week. This is down -3.8 cents from a month ago and -34.4 cents lower than a year ago.

• July comes to an end with a monthly average of $3.15, the same as it was in July 2021, the last time summer gas prices were this low. Crude oil prices have gone up slightly, as gas demand has also risen, but not enough to drive up prices at the pump.
