UK Construction Output: May 2025
UK construction output fell -0.6% MoM in May 2025, ending a three-month streak of gains, following a +0.8% MoM rise in April.
- The decline was driven entirely by a -2.1% MoM drop in repair & maintenance, while new work rose +0.6% MoM.
- Non-housing R&M fell -2.4% MoM and private housing R&M declined -1.8% MoM.
- Over the 3 months to May, total output rose +1.2% QoQ, with new work up +0.9% and repair & maintenance up +1.5%.
- Five of nine sectors saw monthly declines in May.
