US Money Supply: June 2025
The US M2 money supply increased 0.6% MoM to $22.0 trillion in June, ahead of the 0.4% MoM increase in May. The annual increase accelerated from 4.2% YoY to 4.5% YoY.
- M1 money supply increased 0.6% MoM as well, rising to $18.8 trillion with annual growth up to 4.2% YoY (previously 3.9%).
- Total currency in circulation was up 1.8% YoY (prev 1.6% YoY) while reserve balances fell -0.7% YoY (prev -3.4% YoY) and the monetary base was basically flat at 0.3% YoY (prev -1.3% YoY).
