• The Household Finance Index and the Spending Sentiment Index saw marginal declines, both are also at 3-month lows.
• The Labour Market Sentiment Index increased 0.8 pts to 52.7, a 4-month high, as job security and income both improved slightly.
• The Debt Sentiment Index dropped -0.6 pts to 49.1, an 8-month low, as the index for unsecured credit availability also fell to an 8-month low.
• April data revealed that 42% of households anticipate a tightening of the central bank’s monetary policy, marking the joint-highest reading in nearly one-and-a-half years.
