Italy’s exports rose +4.0% MoM and imports increased +3.3% MoM in June 2025, with growth in both EU and non-EU trade flows.

  • Non-EU exports rose +6.3% MoM and EU exports were up +1.8% MoM; non-EU imports grew +5.2% MoM and EU imports increased +2.0% MoM.
  • On a quarterly basis, exports fell -2.6% and imports declined -1.7%.
  • YoY, exports rose +4.9% (+5.2% non-EU, +4.6% EU) and imports rose +4.8% (+10.1% non-EU, +1.2% EU).
  • The trade surplus was €5.41 billion, driven by a €5.48 billion non-EU surplus and partially offset by a €69 million EU deficit; excluding energy, the surplus was €9.33B.
  • Import prices rose +0.2% MoM but fell -2.7% YoY, with steeper declines from non-eurozone countries (-3.4% YoY).
