The GasBuddy national average price of gasoline increased 5.6 cents to $3.03 as a result of oil prices rising at the beginning of the year. Despite that, the national average is still down -3.0 cents from a month ago and -2.9 cent from a year ago. The median gas price increased 8 cents to $2.97. Diesel prices saw a smaller increase of 1.5 cents to $3.488.
