France retail sales fell -0.3% MoM in February after a strong 0.9% MoM increase in January and were up 1.6% YoY.

• Sales dropped in food stores (-0.1% MoM), recreational goods stores (-0.3% MoM), and other household equipment (-0.8% MoM).
• Wholesale sales fell -0.1% MoM and -1.4% YoY in February, dragged down by weak wholesale food and household goods sales.
• The early estimate of March retail sales is a decline of -0.1% MoM.
