The FHFA House Price Index increased 0.2% MoM and 4.8% YoY in January, up from 4.7% YoY in January.

• The monthly increase was in line with expectations of a low stable increase in home prices. The 0.4% MoM increase in December was revised up to 0.5% MoM. The monthly increase in January is the slowest since July 2024.
• Regionally, the West North Central (+1.0% MoM) and the Middle Atlantic (+0.7% MoM) regions saw the strongest gains and were offset by declines in the Mountain (-0.6% MoM) and South Atlantic (-0.8% MoM) regions.
