The euro area job vacancy rate eased from 2.6% in Q2 2024 to 2.5% in Q3 2024 and down from the near-term peak of 3.3% in Q2 2022. Vacancy rates were 2.1% in industry and construction, and 2.7% in services. The vacancy rate is not just 0.1 ppt above the peak 2019 vacancy rate of 2.4% (set in Q1 2019).
