ADP Weekly Preliminary Employment Report: Week of September 8th

ADP estimates that US private employment increased by an average of 12k per week in the four weeks ending August 22nd, up from 10k in the four weeks ending August 15th. This would be the fastest pace since the second week of July 2026.
- Both the weekly Pulse data and the weekly NER data suggest that the slowdown in private sector hiring likely bottomed out in mid-July, as the preliminary August data points have shown a slight acceleration.
- No revisions were made to the preliminary data points in the latest release.
