The Drewry World Container Index grew 2% WoW to $2,276 last week, adding to the 8% WoW increase in the week before.

• Most routes saw little to no change in rates with the exception of Shanghai-Genoa and Shanghai-NY, both up 4% WoW.
• Following the latest US-China trade developments, Drewry expects an increase in spot rates in the coming week as carriers are reorganising their capacity to accommodate a higher volume of cargo bookings from China.
