Used Vehicle Retail Sales: July 2025
Retail used-vehicle sales rose 8.9% MoM and 7.0% YoY in July 2025 to an estimated 1.52 million units, reflecting strong demand amid affordability pressures in the new-car market.
- Days’ supply declined to 43, down 4 days from early July and 2 days below the level a year earlier, indicating tighter inventory conditions.
- CPO sales increased 11.0% MoM to 222,991 units and were up 5.4% YoY, defying ongoing supply constraints.
- Year-to-date, CPO sales are running about 3% above the same period in 2024, suggesting sustained interest in certified vehicles.
