- ADP's weekly Pulse data points to a clear ramp-up in the pace of hiring in February, a contradiction with the BLS jobs report last week.
- In fact, the pace of growth measured in the 2nd and 3rd week of February was the fastest since the last week of November 2025.
- No major revisions were reported in the new weekly data points. Just a slight downgrade in the Feb 7th print from 12,750 to 12,000.

- Revisions to recent Jan weeks have been positive as well: week of Jan 10th up +500 to 4,250, week of Jan 17th up +500 to 5,500, and week of Jan 24th up +1,250 to 7,750.

ADP reports that US private employers added an average of 6,500 jobs per week in the four weeks to Jan 24th, up from 5,000 in the four weeks to Jan 17th.
- ADP did its annual benchmarking with the January 2026 QCEW release, and it resulted in major revisions to the weekly data set (see table below).
- The older Pulse data for August and September were, apparently, very pessimistic. New final NER data that has been adjusted to the QCEW benchmark suggests Q3 private hiring was a lot stronger than initially thought.
- November data were revised up substantially. The initial Pulse data points pointed to layoffs in the latter part of the month, but the new Pulse data suggests around 20k jobs per week were added in the last two weeks of Nov.
- December weekly prints were more stable, but in every week, there were downward revisions. However, there is no evidence of layoffs during the month.

- This morning's ADP Pulse weekly employment print eases slightly to 7,750 but maintains the trend of the last 5 weeks.
- There were no revisions reported in the latest dataset. Next week's data point is the final weekly print before the ADP National Employment Report in the first week of February.

- While ADP did revise down the data points for the last three weeks, the latest weekly print is the highest in the ADP Pulse series so far and suggestive of a rebound in hiring in the month of November.
