U.S.-listed ETFs totaled $14.3 trillion in total assets under management at the end of February. The month saw ETF inflows of $196.7 billion, up 14% from January. Equities continued to gather the most assets (58%) in terms of February flows. Fixed income ETFs continued to notch another monthly record, with inflows of $70 billion, while currency ETFs experienced outflows. February also saw 93 new ETFs launch.
- Equity ETF inflows inched higher by 3.7% vs. January, to $114 billion.
- Fixed income ETFs took in a record monthly high of $70 billion.
- Positive interest in commodities and alternatives held steady at 4% and 2%, respectively, with a total of $12 billion being added in February.

U.S.-listed ETFs totaled $14.1 trillion in total assets under management at the end of January. The month saw ETF inflows of $174.1 billion, off from December’s high level. Equities continue to gather the most assets by far in terms of January flows, but fixed-income funds grew faster on a percentage basis. In addition, 85 new ETFs came to market in January.
- Total inflows for January were $174.1 billion, a 24% decrease from December’s total. This is the typical pattern we see for December/January numbers.
- After a strong December, January’s inflows to equity ETFs decreased 36.2% to $110 billion.
- Inflows for fixed income ETFs increased 27.7% to $53 billion.
- Both commodities and asset allocation funds lost flow momentum.
- Alternatives increased their share of fund flows by 23%.

U.S. ETF assets under management reached a record $13.5 trillion at year-end 2025. December saw inflows of $228 billion, pushing the 2025 total to a record $1.49 trillion. In addition, 131 ETFs launched in December, for a record annual total of 1,167 new funds.

U.S. ETF assets under management hit another record at $13.2 trillion in November, driven by monthly inflows of $147.7 billion and bringing the year-to-date total flows to $1.26 trillion. November also saw the introduction of 118 new ETFs.

U.S. ETF assets under management reached a record $13 trillion in October. Last month’s inflows are the highest for the year at $169.5 billion and 20% higher than the September inflow results. That brings the year-to-date inflows total to $1.11 trillion. October launches also set a record with 137 new ETFs.

U.S. ETF assets under management increased to $12.7 trillion in September from $12.3 trillion in August. September recorded inflows of $141.2 billion, the highest for the year and up 19.8% from $117.8 billion the prior month, taking the year-to-date total to $925.4 billion. September saw 115 new ETFs launched.

U.S. ETF assets under management increased to $12.25 trillion in August from $11.88 trillion in July. August recorded inflows of $117.8 billion, up 1.5% from $116 billion in July, taking the year-to-date total to $786.3 billion. At this rate, it appears U.S. ETFs are on track to outpace the $1.1 trillion in new assets attracted last year. August saw 74 new ETFs launched.
- ETF inflows for August totaled $117.83 billion, a 1.5% increase from the prior month.
- Equity funds accounted for 49% of total flows, reaching $57.7 billion in August.
- Flows for fixed income rose 85.5% to $48.4 billion in August from $26 billion in July.

U.S. ETF assets under management showed a small increase over June’s numbers, reaching $11.88 trillion in July. Monthly inflows rose 12.6% from June to $116 billion, bringing the year-to-date total flows to $683.3 billion. With 111 launches, July saw the same staggeringly high number of new ETFs as June. (The average number of launches per month in 2024 was 60.)

Despite a volatile month, U.S. ETF assets under management increased slightly to $10.48 trillion. Inflows continued, albeit at a low level relative to recent history, with $63.7 billion in April for a year-to-date total of $371 billion. A total of 73 ETFs launched, fewer than any month in the previous quarter.Total inflows for April totaled $63.7 billion, down 28% from March.
- Many asset classes had lower flows, with equities down 28% and fixed income down 48%.
- Currency funds had $4.2 billion of inflows, reversing last month’s $978 million outflow, and alternatives took in $805 million after March outflows of $13 million.
