  • The Purchase Index was mostly unchanged over the week, down -0.4% WoW, but the Refinance Index dropped -15.7% WoW.
  • Total purchasing applications fell -3.9% WoW but were still up 17.7% YoY, and total refinancing applications dropped -24.2% WoW but were still up 155.8% YoY.
  • The 30-year fixed mortgage rate increased 8 bps to 6.24%, and the 15-year fixed mortgage rate increased 9 bps to 5.64%.

  • The Purchase Index increased 5.1% WoW, and the Refinance Index increased 20.4% WoW.
  • The total number of purchase applications increased 11.8% WoW and 17.8% YoY, and the total number of refinance applications increased 20.4% WoW and 182.9% YoY.
  • The 30-year fixed mortgage rate dropped -2 bps to 6.16% (lowest since September 2024), and the 15-year fixed mortgage rate eased -5 bps to 5.55%.

  The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index surged 28.5% WoW last week as mortgage rates continued to decline, reaching close to a 1.5 year low.

  • The Purchase Index was up 15.9% WoW, and the Refinance Index shot up 40.1% WoW to the highest level since October 2025.
  • Total purchase applications increased 51.1% WoW and 12.8% YoY, while total refinance applications increased 75.2% WoW and 128.1% YoY.
  • The 30-year fixed mortgage rate dropped -7 bps to 6.18%, the lowest since mid-September 2024.

  • The Purchase Index fell -6.2% WoW, and was offset by a 7.4% WoW increase in the Refinance Index.
  • The 30-year fixed mortgage rate edged up 1 bps to 6.32%, remaining very close to that level through the holiday period.

  The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index fell -5.0% WoW last week despite a decline in mortgage rates.

  • The Purchase Index fell -3.7% WoW, and the Refinance Index fell -5.6% WoW.
  • The total number of purchase applications dropped -5.9% WoW but was still up 15.8% YoY, and the total number of refinance applications dropped -5.6% WoW but was up 110.1% YoY.
  • The 30-year fixed mortgage rate eased -7 bps to 6.31% (lowest since the last week of October), and the 15-year fixed mortgage rate edged down -2 bps to 5.70%.

  The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index fell -3.8% WoW last week as mortgage rates ticked up for the second straight week.

  • The Purchase Index fell -2.8% WoW, and the Refinance Index also fell -3.6% WoW.
  • The total number of purchase applications was down -6.6% WoW but up 13.0% YoY, and the total number of refinance applications dropped -3.6% WoW but surged 86.0% YoY.
  • The 30-year fixed mortgage rate increased 5 bps to 6.38%, and the 15-year fixed mortgage rate was up just 1 bps to 5.72%.

  The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index increased 4.8% WoW last week, driven by growth in refinancing activity even though mortgage rates ticked up.

  • The Purchase Index fell -2.4% WoW, and the Refinance Index jumped 14.3% WoW.
  • The total number of purchase applications increased 32.3% WoW (due to seasonality) and was up 18.6% YoY, the total umber of refinancing applications was up 63.3% WoW (due to seasonality) and up 87.8% YoY.
  • The 30-year fixed mortgage rate ticked up 1 bp to 6.33%, but importantly, was down -34 bps from a year ago. The 15-year fixed mortgage rate dropped -2 bps to 5.71% and was down -41 bps YoY.

  The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index fell -1.4% WoW last week despite lower mortgage rates.

  • The Purchase Index increased 2.5% WoW, and the Refinance Index dropped -4.4% WoW.
  • The number of purchase applications was down -32.2% WoW (due to seasonality) but was up 16.8% YoY, and the number of refinance applications fell -33.1% WoW (due to seasonality) but was up 109.0% YoY.
  • The 30-year fixed mortgage rate dropped -8 bps to 6.32%, and the 15-year fixed mortgage rate dropped -7 bps to 5.73%. This is the first weekly decline in rates since the week of October 24th.

  • The Purchase Index increased 7.6% WoW, and the Refinance Index dropped -5.7% WoW.
  • The total number of purchase applications increased 2.1% WoW and was up 20.5% YoY, and the total number of refinance applications dropped -5.7% WoW but was still up 117.3% YoY.
  • The 30-year fixed mortgage rate increased 3 bps to 6.40%, the highest since the week of October 10th, and the 15-year fixed mortgage rate eased -3 bps to 5.80%.

  • The Purchase Index fell -2.3% WoW, and the Refinance Index fell -7.3% WoW.
  • The total number of purchase applications fell -6.5% WoW but was still up 25.7% YoY, and the total number of refinancing applications fell -7.3% WoW but was still more than double a year ago (+124.7% YoY).
  • The 30-year fixed mortgage rate increased 3 bps to 6.37%, and the 15-year fixed mortgage rate jumped 13 bps to 5.83%.
