The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index fell -1.8% WoW last week as mortgage activity continued to moderate from the spike in recent weeks.
- The Purchase Index fell -2.7% WoW, and the Refinance Index eased -1.0% WoW.
- The total number of purchase applications fell -2.4% WoW but was up 19.9% YoY, and the total number of refinance applications fell -1.0% WoW but was up 59.0% YoY.
- The 30-year fixed mortgage rate fell just -1 bp to 6.42%, now up about 8 bps from the near-term low set three weeks ago in mid-September of 6.34%.

The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index fell -4.7% WoW last week as mortgage rates remained mostly unchanged around 6.4%.
- The Purchase Index fell -1.2% WoW, and the Refinance Index continued to cool, down -7.7% WoW.
- Total purchase applications were down -1.1% WoW but still up 14.3% YoY, and total refinance applications fell -7.7% WoW but were still up 18.3% YoY.
- The 30-year fixed mortgage rate dropped -3 bps to 6.43%. The 5-year ARM rate dropped -25 bps to 5.49%, now down -57 bps from a year ago.

The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index fell -12.7% WoW last week as mortgage rates bounced back and pushed back against the recovery in mortgage activity.
- The Purchase Index dropped -1.0% WoW, and the Refinance Index dropped -20.6% WoW.
- The total number of purchasing applications fell -1.5% WoW but was up 15.7% YoY, and the total number of refinancing applications crashed -20.6% WoW but was up 16.3% YoY.
- The MBA 30-year fixed mortgage rate jumped 12 bps to 6.46%, basically reversing two weeks of declines.

The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index increased just 0.6% WoW last week as mortgage activity calmed after a surge in the week before.
- Both the Purchase Index and the Refinance Index saw slight gains, up 0.3% WoW and 0.8% WoW, respectively.
- Total purchasing applications dropped -0.9% WoW but was up 18.0% YoY, and total refinance applications increased 0.8% WoW and was up 42.1% YoY.
- The 30-year fixed mortgage rate fell for the fourth consecutive week, dropping -5 bps to 6.34%.

The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index jumped 29.8% WoW, the largest one week increase in the post-pandemic period, as mortgage rates saw another steep drop.
- While the Purchase Index was only up 2.9% WoW, the Refinance Index surged 57.7% WoW.
- The total number of purchase applications increased 12.1% WoW, and the total number of refinance applications was up 75.2% WoW.
- The frenzy of refinancing activity was driven by a -10 bps drop in the 30-year fixed mortgage rate to 6.39%, the lowest since early October 2024. In the last 3 weeks, the rate has fallen -30 bps.

The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index jumped 9.2% WoW last week as the 30-year fixed mortgage rate dropped to its lowest since the first week of October 2024.
- The Purchase Index was up 6.6% WoW, and the Refinance Index surged 12.2% WoW.
- Total purchase applications were down -6.3% WoW but up 22.8% YoY while total refinance applications increased 1.0% WoW and were up 33.6% YoY.
- The 30-year fixed mortgage rate dropped -15 bps to 6.49%, the lowest since October 2024 and the largest one-week drop since late February.
- The 15-year fixed mortgage rate dropped -14 bps to 5.70% and was down -23 bps from 4 weeks ago.

The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index fell -1.2% WoW last week, even though mortgage rates saw a slight decline.
- The Purchase Index fell -3.1% WoW which offset a 0.9% WoW rise in the Refinance Index.
- Total purchase applications were down -5.5% WoW but still up 17.5% YoY, and total refinance applications edged up 0.9% WoW and were up 20.1% YoY.
- The 30-year fixed mortgage rate fell -5 bps to 6.64% over the last week and is down about -13 bps over the course of August.

- The Purchase Index increased 2.2% WoW, while the Refinance Index offset that increase with a -3.5% WoW decline.
- Total purchase applications were down -0.1% WoW but up 25.1% YoY, and total refinance applications dropped -3.5% WoW but were up 18.6% YoY.
- The 30-year fixed mortgage rate edged up 1 bps to 6.69%, and the 15-year fixed mortgage rate increased 7 bps to 6.03%.

- The Purchase Index was basically unchanged, up just 0.1 WoW, and the Refinance Index dropped -3.1% WoW after a large jump in the week before.
- The total number of purchase applications fell -1.6% WoW but was up 23.3% YoY, and the total number of refinance applications fell -3.1% WoW but was up 22.8% YoY.
- The 30-year fixed mortgage rate increased 1 bps to 6.68% after a -10 bps decline in the week before. The 15-year fixed mortgage rate increased 3 bps to 5.96%.

The MBA Mortgage Applications Composite Index increased 10.9% WoW last week, driven by a surge in refinancing activity, as mortgage rates dropped to the lowest since the beginning of April.
- The Purchase Index increased 1.4% WoW, and the Refinance Index surged 23.0% WoW.
- The total number of purchasing applications increased just 0.5% WoW and was up 16.7% YoY, and the total number of refinancing applications jumped 23.0% WoW and 7.5% YoY.
- The 30-year fixed mortgage rate dropped -10 bps to 6.67%, and the 15-year fixed mortgage rate also dropped -10 bps to 5.93%.

- The Purchase Index fell -5.8% WoW, and the Refinance Index eased -1.1% WoW.
- The total number of purchasing applications fell -5.0% WoW (but still up 17.0% YoY), and the total number of refinancing applications fell -1.1% WoW (but still up 29.5% YoY).
- The 30-year fixed mortgage rate fell -1 bps to 6.83%, and the 15-year fixed mortgage rate fell -2 bps to 6.12%.
