France’s Producer Price Index (PPI) rose +0.1% MoM in June 2025, stabilizing after three straight monthly declines, though prices were still down -0.5% YoY.
- Home market PPI fell -0.2% MoM but edged up +0.2% YoY, with electricity prices still falling sharply (-4.8% MoM, -3.5% YoY), while petroleum prices jumped +5.8% MoM.
- Foreign market PPI rebounded +0.7% MoM but remained down -2.5% YoY; refined petroleum rose +4.1% MoM while transport equipment declined -0.7%.
- PPI excluding energy was flat MoM and up +0.9% YoY, showing underlying stability.
- Food and beverage prices rose +0.3% MoM and +3.5% YoY, led by dairy and cheese.
- Import prices rose +0.5% MoM but fell -1.3% YoY, with petroleum (+7.9% MoM) and processed meats (+2.4%) offsetting declines in chemicals and machinery.
